Sunlight is a part of a wide spectrum of frequencies including ultraviolet light and infrared rays. Visible sunlight is in the middle spectrum. At a lower frequency, light changes to ultra violet rays that can cause sunburn.

At a higher frequency, light changes to gentle infrared rays. Infrared heat is everywhere, even in the palm of your hand. These include short (light), medium-long and long (heat) rays varying from 0.76u to 1000u.

The frequencies
